✨ *The 10 Ways of Obtaining the Love of Allaah سبحانه و تعالى*✨

🥀🍃🥀🍃🥀🍃🥀🍃🥀

✔Sheikh Saleh al-Fawzaan (حفظه الله) listed the 10 ways of obtaining the Love of Allaah as mentioned by:

✍🏼Ibnul Qayyim (رحمه الله تعالى):

*1.* Reading the Qur’aan, pondering over it and understanding it with its intended meanings.

*2.* Drawing closer to Allaah سبحانه و تعالى with the nawaafil (supererogatory acts of worship) after the [fulfillment of the] obligatory acts.

*3.* Constant remembrance of Allaah سبحانه و تعالى in all situations with the tongue, the heart, and the action [of the limbs].

*4.* Preferring that which Allaah سبحانه و تعالى loves over what the servant loves when the fulfillment of the two conflict.

*5.* Contemplation over the Names and Attributes of Allaah and what they indicate [of His] perfection and magnificence. And also [contemplating over] what they contain from praiseworthy implications.

*6.* Contemplation over both the hidden and apparent blessings of Allaah, while bearing witness to His kindness, favor, and distribution of His grace upon His servants.

*7.* Humbling oneself and wholly submitting to Allaah while admitting one’s dire need of Him.

*8.* Seclusion with Allaah سبحانه و تعالى at the time of His Divine descent [that is befitting of His perfection and glory] in the last third of the night. And reciting the Qur’aan at this time and concluding it by making tawbah (repentance) and istighfaar (seeking forgiveness).

*9.* Sitting with the people of goodness and integrity, those who love Allaah, and benefiting from their speech.

*10.* Distancing oneself from any distracting means that would hinder the heart from Allaah [and His remembrance].

On Salah

“A slave stands in front of Allah on two occasions. The first during salat, and secondly on
the Day of Judgement. Whosoever stands correctly in the first, the second standing will be
made easier for him. And whosoever, disregards the first standing., the second standing
will be extremely difficult.”

Dhul jalaal wa ikraam

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh.
I hope we are all in good state of Iman and health. Alhamdulillah.

*Dhul Jalaal Wa Ikraam- The Possessor of Glory and Honour, The Lord of Majesty and Generosity*

Jalaal comes from the root jeem-laam-laam, which points out to three main meanings. The first main meaning is to be glorious, majestic and sublime. The second main meaning is to be high, lofty and independant and the third to be supremely great.
This root appears twice in the Quran in one form; as the noun jalaal. An example is al-jalaali (of Majesty).

Ikraam, kareem and akram come from the root kaaf-raa-meem, which points out to four main meanings. The first meaning is to be generous, giving, and beneficent. The second main meaning of this root is to be highly esteemed, honoured and valued. The third main meaning is to be precious, valuable and rare and the fourth to be bountiful and productive.

Linguistically, dhu or thoo is a demonstrative pronoun and literally means with, in, on, or of in the Arabic language. In Dhul-Jalaal dhu refers to Allah ‘azza wa jall being complete Possessor, Owner and Lord of al-Jalaal, Majesty and Glory. Wal-Ikraam means wa (and) al-Ikraam, the Generosity and Bounty. Kareem is an adjective while ikraam is a verbal noun.

Allah is the Lord of these two beautiful Attributes. Dhul-Jalaali wal-Ikraam is the One who is most precious and honoured, He is the Majestic and Glorious Lord, Owner and Source of all generosity, blessings and bounties!

Dhul-Jalaali wal-Ikraam Himself says: Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor [Quran, 55:78]

Allah ‘azza wa jall describes His Noble Face as being Dhul-Jalaali wal-Ikraam; only He is worthy of being revered and obeyed. Make it a mission to seek His Face in everything you do. And keep yourself patiently with those who call on their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His Face [Quran, 18:28]

May Allah forgive us for doubting His Might. Grant us Jannatul Fridaws out of His Mercy. Ameen.

Valentine’s Day…permissible or not??

84423DBD-EB57-457F-B6E1-78F4DB33C537

♡♡♡ Roses are red, Violets are blue, Valentine is not p….

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Festivals are part of sharee’ah, clear way and rituals of which Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“For every nation We have ordained religious ceremonies which they must follow”* [al-Hajj 22:67]

Partially joining in, at the very least, is disobedience and sin. This was indicated by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when he said: *“Every people has its festival and this is our festival.”

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about it’s permissibility and he answered:

“Celebrating Valentine’s Day is not permissible for a number of reasons.
1- It is an innovated festival for which there is no basis in Islam.
2- It promotes love and infatuation.
3- It calls for hearts to be preoccupied with foolish matters that are contrary to the way of the righteous salaf (may Allaah be pleased with them).
It is not permissible on this day to do any of the things that are characteristic of this festival, whether that has to do with food, drinks, clothing, exchanging gifts or anything else.

The Muslim should be proud of his religion and should not be a weak character who follows every Tom, Dick and Harry. I ask Allaah to protect the Muslims from all temptations, visible and invisible, and to protect us and guide us”.

End quote from Majmoo’ Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (16/199)

May Allah (swt) continue to guide us to the straight path. Ameen.

Who is a productive muslimah?

819013AC-94AC-4D95-9564-3B4893482078

🎀 A Productive Muslimah is one who takes pride in being a muslimah. She is focused on preaching Islam through her own practice. She loves Allah, her focus in life is Allah’s pleasure, and she loves to do things that bring her closer to her Creator and Sustainer.

🎀 Her main concern is her success in the akhirah, thus she makes the most of this world as a means to achieve that success. Her iman is reflected through her outward appearance and mannerism, which is a complete submission to the shari’ah.

🎀 She lives a simple life that takes care of her needs and instead of going after her wants. She has a heart free of love for this world, free of love of leadership, free of bad opinions about others, free of grudges, malice, rancour, greed, envy and all other evil traits.

🎀 Her tongue is not engaged in haram or vain talk, she thinks before she speaks, she controls her anger. She is a humble person; her goal is to be a better person every day of her life. She doesn’t hesitate to admit when she is wrong and is quick in correcting her wrongs/faults when she sees them.

🎀 She is neither stingy nor a spendthrift, but she loves to spend generously for those things which will bring her closer to her Creator. Her heart is clean and pure, filled with love and reverence for her Creator: love, compassion, kindness, and forgiveness for the creation.

🎀 She is full of gratitude for every single blessing, especially for the spiritual blessings, and she is always striving to progress spiritually. She has complete trust and reliance in Allah, and when she goes through difficult or disliked situations, she knows there is good in it for her – both in this world and the next.

🎀 She loves to be in the company of saliheen (righteous slaves of Allah). She strives to keep her promises and commitments. She is soft spoken but firm in her words and works. She always strives to be a part of solution and not a part of problem.

🎀 She shows beautiful patience during difficult times, for she realizes things could have been worse, and that these are tests from Allah Who can be called upon and He will answer the duas. And she also has the certainty that, “Indeed, with hardship, there will be ease” [Qur’an: Chapter 94, Verse 6].

🎀 She is a living proof of what a muslimah should be, and all this with the utmost sincerity to please her Almighty Lord ♡

May Allah (subhanahu wata aala) make each one of us a productive muslimah, ameen thumma ameen

“Hadith 31” Be Aloof from the world….

16B72C78-9FCC-4B57-9656-91D4F1A06A47

Assalaam alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh sisters.

This week’s Hadith from An Nawawi’s collection

*Hadith 31 “Be Aloof from the World … “*

On the authority of Abu al-Abbaas Sahl ibn Saad al-Saa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, “0 Messenger of Allah, direct me to a deed
concerning which, if I perform it, Allah will love me and the people will love me.” He said, “Be aloof from the world
and Allah will love you. Be aloof from what the people possess and the people will love you.”

Recorded by ibn Maajah and others with hasan chains.

*Brief commentary*

This hadith is a weak hadith. Therefore, it will not be discussed in
detail. However, a few points concerning the correct understanding of zuhd (“Islamic asceticism”) are in order.

First, zuhd does not imply abandoning this world and not working for one’s needs in this world. The early scholar Abu Idrees al-Khaulaani said, “Zuhd in this world does not mean forbidding what is permissible or wasting
wealth. Zuhd with respect to this world is only where a person puts more trust in what is with Allah than what is in his own hand. If he is afflicted with a calamity [by losing something of this world], he is more hopeful for its reward
and what is stored for him in the Hereafter than if it were to have remained with him.”

Two important concepts are mentioned in this statement and both
of them are dealing with the actions of the heart. This is because zuhd is an action of the heart and not an outward action.

Sulaimaan al-Daaraani said, “Do not testify that anyone has zuhd for zuhd is in the heart [and cannot be witnessed by others].”

The first aspect mentioned is where a person realizes that all provisions and sustenance come from Allah and not simply by his own acts. The second aspect is where, if a person loses anything of this world, this does not bother
him because he is looking toward the Hereafter and not this world.

Wahb ibn al-Warad said, “Zuhd in this world is where one does not
despair because of what he missed in this world nor does he rejoice because of what he is given of this world.”

Sufyaan ibn Uyainah said, “Zuhd with respect
to this world is where one, if he is blessed with something, gives thanks and, if he is tried, is patient.”

Al-Bugha and Mistu also point out that there developed in the Muslim
world a non-Islamic form of zuhd that was borrowed from other cultures. This is where a person shows disdain for this world, forbids for himself what Allah has made lawful, voluntarily chooses a life of poverty and refuses to work or
follow the means to sustenance that Allah has laid down for this world. This non-Islamic zuhd is an innovation in Islam and goes against the teachings of the
Quran and sunnah.

Persistence In Making Dua

Ibn Uyaynah (rahimahullaah) said:
“Don’t ever leave off making du’aa nor allow what
[bad deeds] you commit to prevent you from it.
for indeed Allaah answered the du’aa of Iblees
the Devil) and he is the most evil of creation
[when he said to Allaah] ” Grant me respite until
the Day in which they will be resurrected: He
(Allaah) said. Indeed you are from those who are
granted respite.”

Al malik al mulk

{99 Names of Allah Series}

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh.
Alhamdulillah, for the gift of life, the gift of Islam, the gift of good health. I hope we are all in good state of Iman and health, in sha Allah.

*Maalikul Mulk – The Owner of the Dominion*

Maalik, Malik and Maleek all come from the root maa-laa-kaa, which points to three main meanings. The first main meaning is to have possession and ownership. The second is to have power and ability, and the third main meaning is to control and have authority.

Linguistically, maalik is an intensified form and refers to not only having kingship, but being master and lord. The word malik(king) is used for people however the name Maalik ul-Mulk is used for Allah ‘azza wa jall only. He is the King of all Kings, the owner of all owners and the ruler of all rulers, and His Kingdom consists of all that was, is, and will be created!

Maalik ul-Mulk Himself says: Say, “O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent [Quran, 3:26]

Remind yourself of the day that Maalik ul-Mulk will confront you: The Day when they will (all) come out and nothing of them will be hidden from Allah. (On that Day they will be asked): “Whose is the kingdom today?” (The whole world will cry out): “It is Allah’s, the One, the Overpowering.” (It will then be said): “Today shall everyone be fully recompensed for his deeds . . .[Quran, 40:16-17] Every time you say Maaliki Yawmid-Deen in your prayer, imagine standing in front of Him and think of the deeds you have put forward for that day!

And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, ‘Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successiveauthority.’ [Quran, 2:30] Allah ‘azza wa jallplaced you in His dominion with a mission: to worship Him alone and be reformers on earth. How do you know what Maalik ul-Mulk expects from you in His kingdom? By studying the Quran and the sunnah, so you can first read about His commandments and limits with which He guides you.

“Allah has Prescribed the Obligatory Deeds … “*

*Hadith 30: “Allah has Prescribed the Obligatory Deeds … “*

On the authority of Abu Thalaba al-Khushani Jurthoom ibn Naashir (may Allah be pleased with him):

On the authority of the Messenger of Allah (Allah’s blessings and

peace be upon him) who said, “Verily, Allah, the Exalted, has prescribed the obligatory deeds, so do not neglect them. He has set the limits, so do not go beyond them. He has forbidden some things, so do not violate them. And He has been silent about some things, out of mercy upon you and not out of forgetfulness, so do not seek after them.”

A hasan hadith recorded by al-Daaraqutni and others.

*Brief Commentary*

This hadith is a weak hadith. Therefore, there is no need to discuss it in detail. However, it should be pointed out that the commentators on this hadith do not take this hadith at face value. In other words, they do not say that every deed concerning which Allah was silent must be permissible or cannot be asked about or researched. There are many acts possible today that are not

mentioned in the Quran or sunnah while it is clear that they could not possibly be permissible or it is equally clear that the ruling for them needs to be researched.

For this reason, the scholars gave a number of different explanations

for the last part of this hadith, “And He has been silent about some things, out of mercy upon you and not out of forgetfulness, so do not seek after them.” Al-

Baitaar has summed up the three different possible explanations as follows:

• The prohibition was something particular for the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

• The prohibition is for all times but it is particular with respect to the kinds of research and questioning prohibited. It is only with respect to the difficult, detailed, impractical or irrelevant

questions. These are the types of matters that one should not ask about. In

general, they do not affect a person’s actions and may lead to confusion more than anything else.

• The prohibition is with respect to the general masses only and not with respect to the scholars.

THE HIGHEST RANK WITH ALLAH

The highest of ranks is that you should devote yourself to your Lord, and feel at ease with Him in your heart and consciousness and all of your limbs so much so that you hope for nothing but your Lord and fear nothing but your wrong action, and His love becomes so firmly established in your heart that you will never prefer anything to it. If you are like that you will not care whether you are on land or sea, on the plains or in the mountains. Your longing to meet your Beloved will be like the longing the thirsty person has for cold water, and the longing the hungry person has for wholesome food, and the remembrance of Allah will be sweeter to you than honey and more delicious than pure water to the thirsty person on a hot summer’s day.
