♡Salah; The beautiful conversation♡

“I pray”

‘Allahu akbar’ the words flow out
He is the greatest.  There is no doubt.
I lift my hands to my ears
And surrender to the One who always hears

With that I enter a different universe
And stand with only Him to converse
I praise Him and ask His guidance to the straight path
And to be saved on the day of wrath

Then I bow down
In a position well renowned
How respectful when we see others do this snip
But we forget the beauty when we do it
A reminder of how small I am compared to His Mighty
‘Glory is to my Lord, the Most Almighty’

‘Allah has heard he who has praised Him’
From my eyes, the tears brim
Right now, Allah is hearing this
This opportunity to praise Him I cannot miss
‘Our Lord, all praise is due to You’
I am always amazed at how true

Then I prostrate in total submission
The closest to my lord in this great position
The only position that is done twice
How great must be its price
His glory I can never deny
“Glory is to my Lord, the most high”

What if this is my last?
Minutes pass
I try to make it my best
Just like everything else, it is a test
‘Assalamu Alikum wa rahmatuallah’ I say as I turn
And with that the prayer is adjourned

☆Qur’anic Gems☆ Day 29. Ramadhan 1435.

Surah Al-Muzzammil, Verse 20:
So recite (the Qur’an) as much as may be easy (for you), & perform As-Salat & give Zakat, & lend to Allah a goodly loan, & whatever good you send before you for yourselves, you will certainly find it with Allah, better & greater in reward. And seek Forgiveness of Allah. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.

Allah (swt) being always The Most Merciful, encourages & guides us in the above verse with regards to those good deeds we should do to earn us great rewards.

✓Reciting the Qur’an: “Verily those who recite the Book of Allah & perform salah & spend in charity, secretely & openly, hope for a (sure) tradegain that will never perish” [35:29]

✓Salat: Allah (swt), in a hadith qudsi, bluntly declared how precious salat is to Him:
“Out of all the ways through which My servant gets closer to Me, salat is the dearest to me” [Bukhari]

✓Zakah & sadaqah:” Verily those who give sadaqat, men & women, & lend to Allah a goodly loan, it shall be increased in manifold (to their credit) & theirs shall be an honourable good reward”. [57:18]

And lastly, after doing all these, Allah (swt) tells us to ask forgiveness to earn His mercy, for indeed it is His mercy that can take us to paradise, not our good deeds alone. [Bukhari, Muslim]

May Allah (swt) make such excellent deeds our part of our daily routine, & may He grant us steadfastness in His performing plenty ibadahs (worship), after ramadan. ameen.

If the CEO of your company called you out of the blue for a meeting, it would probably be the most important meeting of your professional career. You wouldn’t dare to be late or untidy. In the meeting, you wouldn’t dare to look bored or disinterested.

Now compare this to your attitude in salaah (prayer). Is it the same, less, or more?

By Allah, I assure that the Keys of the Heavens and the Earth are in our Lord’s Hands. There is no matter but that it is under His complete control. There is nothing you desire except that He has it in His Power to give. There is nothing you fear but that He can save you from it.

And He wants to meet YOU exclusively five times a day.

Do the math and act wisely. Make salaah the most important appointment of your day.
