The One with the most comprehensive knowledge, extending to everything seen and unseen, present and future, near and far, existing and non-existing. His knowledge precedes, and is the cause of, existence.

Isn’t it a comfort to know that He already knows the affairs of the world, and is not unknown to your trials and the pain of the Ummah. Rather, He is with His Knowledge Most Wise, therefore He also knows what is the best time for our relief and help.

There falls not a leaf but He knows it, nor a grain in the darkness of the Earth, nor anything green nor withered but it is all in a clear book.” [Quran, 6:59]

The One Who opens for His slaves closed worldly and religious matters. He is the Opener of hearts of the faithful to His Knowledge, and opens gates of forgiveness for those who repent.

When the journey ahead is full of uncertainty and doubt, it is al-Fattaah who alone has the Power to turn that doubt into confidence, that alluding matter into one of comfort, those troublesome thoughts into calmed feelings!

Asking Allah by this Name will change the way you look at your problems and confusions. For you will know that no matter is difficult for al-Fattaah to ease for you, no journey ahead is impossible for Him to guide you through, and no calamity can permanently trap you – because al-Fattaah will opens doors of guidance and sustenance from the darkest and most obscure of paths!

When you are worried about the guidance of your family or friends, that ‘one’ person you fear will never follow Haqq, ask al-Fattaah to open his or her heart to guidance and His Love!

Why These Worries

You should bear in mind that grief and shock are something which befall everyone at one time or another. This makes him worried and disturbed and deprives him of his peace and rest. The reason for that is that mentally he has not surrendered himself to Allah Taala’s decision and destiny. How can such a man have peace and rest? There is however, a man who realises that he has done everything which was within his power and beyond this he is helpless. He has therefore, to accept whatever comes to him from Allah because His decision is final and none can change the divine/Decision. A man so resigned to his destiny may have to face grief and shocks but he can never face worries and anxieties.
