The popular saying goes time is money but to a muslim time is much more than that, time is life.
We have been sent to the dunya for a time period and it is based on what what we gather in this time period that will make us succeed in the hereafter.
“Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, – these, they are the successful”.
And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide”. (Q102-103)
Many atimes we have lofty goals; we want to memorise the Qur’an, we want to seek more knowledge, we want to learn how to do certain things but subhanallah there’s not enough time in the world.
To make the most out of our time, we have to plan it accordingly. We have to give our lofty goals it’s time especially in ramadan if we are to accomplish them. If not, the numerous weapons of distractions around us would tie us into their weaves e.g non-beneficial chatter, tv, social medias e.t.c
So this ramadan let’s make it a habit to manage our time well. Every morning before the day begins, let us plan our day hour by hour, allocating specific time limit to each of our tasks. This ramadan let us keep reminding ourselves that our time is our life, so that we will only fill it with that which is beneficial.
“O Son of Adam! You are nothing but a number of days, whenever a day passes, a part of you has gone.
