☆Deen remainder ☆ ●Humility (khusho’) in prayer●
Prayer is the second pillar of Islam, we also know that, prayers are the first to be scaled on the day of Al Qiyama, when it’s good, every other deed will eventually be good.
The thing is, one usually observes prayers, but the question is; Is there khusho(which is humility and total submission to Allah ) while performing the prayers???
Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala says “The believers must (eventually )win through. Those who humble themselves in their prayers.”
Khusho in prayers improves the quality of our prayers, so that it is accepted, and as such we receive greater reward and hence more deeds on the day of Al-Qiyama and then a heavier scale.
Now how do we develop khusho on our prayers!!!
Here are 10tips on developing khusho
1-DONT DELAY; try to pray as early as possible, that is, when you hear the adhaan.
2-PREPARE YOURSELF FOR PRAYER PROPERLY; repeat the adhaan and perform wudu properly etc.
3-ELIMINATE INWARD AND OUTWARD DISTRACTIONS; just think about your Lord.
4-RENEW INTENTION AND SEEK REFUGE WITH ALLAH FROM SHAITAAN; that is put in mind that you are going to start praying to your Lord.
5-TAKE YOUR TIME IN RECITATION; pause after every ayah, it makes you more composed.
6-GIVE EACH POSITION IT’S DUE RIGHT; also strive to make du’a in each sujood,it’s when we are closer to Allah.
7-FOCUS ON WHOM WE ARE SPEAKING TO IN OUR SALAM.
9-KNOW THE MEANING OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING.
10-RECITE ADHKAAR AFTER SALAH; they help strengthen khusho in the heart.
I hope we take all these into consideration when next we are about to perform prayers, may Allah helps us remember it, may Allah increase our khusho in salah, and may our prayers be accepted. Ameen
