The middle is forgiveness, seek it.

Standard

It is four days into the middle of the month and before anything else, alhamdulillah.

These days are days of maghfira, forgiveness. And above all else, our priority should be attaining forgiveness from Allah for all our past sins.

There are 3 different ahadith telling us of three things to do in Ramadan to get our sins forgiven: fasting, doing qiyaam and doing qiyaam on Laylatul Qadr.

“Abu Hurairah narrated-may Allah be pleased with him-that Allah’s apostle-peace and blessings be upon him- said, “whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah’s reward, then all his past sins will be forgiven.” {Bukhari}

“Abu Hurairah narrated-may Allah be pleased with him-that Allah’s apostle-peace and blessings be upon him- said, “whoever establishes the prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards (not to show off) then all his past sins will be forgiven.” {Bukhari}

“Abu Hurairah narrated-may Allah be pleased with him-that Allah’s apostle said, “whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for rewards from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven.” {Bukhari}

These are the days of forgiveness, and gone already are four…

If you have not started working, the race has begun without you.
